Install Your REL Subwoofer in Your Own Custom Cabinet

The REL BP-12 has been developed to satisfy demand for the R-528 and R-328 subwoofers when used in custom applications. Frequently, clients will request their REL sub be built into a custom cabinet. In this application the added output from, and dual directionality created by the high output down-firing passive radiator can be an unwanted complication.

REL’s BP-12 is a high quality milled .75” (20mm) thick, solid MDF replacement panel that allows the custom integrator to remove the existing passive radiator and replace it with the BP-12, reusing all the existing hardware and gasket to minimize waste. In doing so, the REL sub is converted to a direct-firing device ideal for in-cabinet use.
