Zu Mission XLR interconnecting cables are all about maximum hi-fi value and are designed to challenge the state-of-the-art but at reasonable prices.

XLR-type balanced 600 ohm application is very different than RCA-type (single-ended high-Z) interconnect patch cable. Zu has addressed the unique features of balanced line-level signal within the Zu/GoreĀ® two-channel stereo Mission platform. The result is a state-of the-art performing cable but within the Mission lineā€™s high value proposition. Combining the Zu/GoreĀ® two-channel stereo geometry with an overall high conductance and high magnitude shield ensures pristine interconnection and transmission for your music.

Mission XLR is a sweet cable and doesnā€™t really need hype and oversellā€”true for the entire Mission lineā€”but we know you want to know more so here it is. Mission XLR is developed specifically for balanced 600Ī© line-level two-channel stereo signal transmission; not simply an adaptation of a mono coax or twin-ax product like nearly all of our competitors. Mission XLR gives you the best possible protection from RF noise, the widest bandwidth, and the most convincing transmission of stereophonic contentā€”left and right channels being perfectly matched and propagate in the same exact dielectric space. And ground is not tied or referenced to either end of signal or signalā€™s mate.

This has two major benefits. The technology safeguards against induced noise; and second it ensures the best possible stereophonic performanceā€”measured and heard. If your cable has to be plugged into a battery or some voodoo nonsense to help keep the noise out, itā€™s because it wasnā€™t designed right in the first place….

Zu Mission also use innovative material technologies such as TeflonĀ® (PTFE) dielectric and pure silver deposit over pure copper core. The XLR-type connectors used on Mission XLR are Neutrik and feature silver plated contacts. Termination on these is solder and for this we use 4% silver-bearing lead-free solder, then epoxy potted. These are a few of the features that ensure your cables will really perform, and for decades without worry or trouble.

Mission XLR are also very easy to work with. They are small, flexible, durable and have a very comfortable hand. Mission XLR is based on the same platform as Zuā€™s top of the line Event XLR interconnect cable, retaining the pivotal design elements but cutting back the high cost/small return ingredients such as the very costly solid core, pure meta-crystal silver.

Ensure pristine and perfectly matched stereo two-channel transmission in your systemā€”Mission XLR.
